Pukekohe Railway Station

Pukekohe Railway Station is the southern terminus of the Southern Line of the Auckland railway network. The station has an island platform between the main lines and an original wooden station building complete with signal panel.

Opened in 1875, the station was formally known as The Pukekohe Railway Station And Post And Telegraph
Office.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Cyclopedia of New Zealand - Pukekohe District )〕 The station is made of wood and iron, and contained a ladies' waiting room, public vestibule, railway and postal room, and porter's room. There was a large goods shed with a space of 1800 square feet. There were four sidings in connection with the station, and the staff consisted of the stationmaster, two cadets, a messenger, and a porter.
